    Changing agents in Wyoming

Every Wyoming business must keep a registered agent at all times. Wyoming has a state form for changing agents. We handle the Secretary of State filing and update your business address while you keep running the business.

    How the switch works

    1. Open the order form with the button on this page.
    2. Pick Wyoming and search for your company by name. If your company does not come up, the form has a path for that.
    3. Add your filing ID and formation date if the form asks for them.
    4. Pick a plan and enter your contact details.
    5. Review the total at checkout, then pay.

Then we move your company's registered agent to us with the Wyoming Secretary of State. You get a client portal for your documents and filings.

    What a plan costs

Every company needs a registered agent. It comes with the monthly plan.

    PlanMonthlyAnnualMail scans
    Standard$14.99$179.885 a year
    Professional$29.99$359.88Unlimited
    Virtual Office+$49.99$599.88Unlimited

A physical Wyoming business address is part of every plan. Corporations can switch too, not only LLCs.

    What Wyoming requires

    • Every Wyoming business must always have a registered agent.
    • The agent can be an individual who is 18 or older and lives in Wyoming, or a business entity that is registered and in good standing with the Wyoming Secretary of State.
    • The agent needs a physical Wyoming address. A PO box or a virtual address does not qualify.
    • To change agents, the company files the state's "Appointment of New Registered Agent and Office" form. It is sent by mail with a check or money order, signed by an authorized individual, with the new agent's consent. Wyoming does not take it by email.
    • Wyoming charges $5 to change an agent.

    How long it takes

Wyoming says processing takes up to 15 business days after it receives the form.

    If your company is dissolved

A switch cannot reinstate a formally dissolved company. Administratively dissolved companies may owe Wyoming a reinstatement fee, paid to the state: $100 plus license tax if the dissolution was for missed reports. If it was for having no agent, $350 plus $5 for an LLC, or $250 plus $5 for a profit corporation.
