Disclosure: Wyoming LLC Attorney publishes this comparison. Prices were checked on each company's website in October 2026 and are subject to change. Wyoming LLC Attorney is not a law firm, does not give legal advice, and is not affiliated with any government or state agency.
Wyoming LLC Attorney fits owners who want a private Wyoming filing, an anonymous holding company, and one monthly plan covering the registered agent, business address, and annual report. Northwest Registered Agent fits owners who want a well-known registered agent with in-house support at a flat $125 a year. On cost, Northwest is lower: for one Wyoming LLC with the same services, $709 over three years against $858.64, and $1,279 over five against $1,338.40. Wyoming LLC Attorney costs $45.12 less each year from year two, and the totals cross between years six and seven.
This guide compares the two on privacy, asset protection, holding companies, cost, filing speed, your registered agent and address, annual reports, setup, forming from outside the US, and attorney access. Prices come from each company's own pages and the Wyoming Secretary of State, checked on October 19, 2026.
Totals assume Wyoming LLC Attorney's Starter package ($99, one-time) plus its Standard compliance plan ($14.99/month), and Northwest's Wyoming formation ($39) plus its registered agent renewals and annual report filings.
| Wyoming LLC Attorney | Northwest Registered Agent | |
|---|---|---|
| Three-year cost, service for service | $858.64* | $709* |
| Five-year cost, service for service | $1,338.40* | $1,279* |
| Filing speed | Submitted within 24 business hours or your payment is refunded | Advertises "Same Day Processing"; its order panel lists a "satisfaction guarantee" (terms not found); no filing-time promise found on the pages checked |
| Operating agreement | Included | Included with formation (Northwest) |
| Name off the state filing | Yes, on every Wyoming LLC it files | Acts as organizer when you hire it to file; its $39 formation includes "Privacy By Default" (Northwest Wyoming page) |

| Annual report filing | Filed for you in the Standard plan | $100 per report plus the state fee (Northwest) |
| Legal questions | Book a consultation with an independent licensed attorney at their own law firm, not affiliated with Wyoming LLC Attorney; the attorneys set their own fees | Not a law firm. Law on Call ($9 a month) is open to Utah and Arizona clients only; nothing listed for a Wyoming formation |
| Forming without an SSN | Foreign EIN in International+, plus bank application support | Foreign EIN service for $200; no bank application support found on the pages checked |
*The totals cover an operating agreement, filing, a registered agent, annual report filing, and Wyoming state fees; the breakdown is in the cost section below. Northwest is priced at current list rates, including the first year of registered agent service that comes with its $39 formation. Attorney consultations are with independent attorneys at their own law firms, not affiliated with Wyoming LLC Attorney, which is not a law firm and does not give legal advice.
A holding company is one parent LLC that owns other LLCs, often one per property or business. Wyoming LLC Attorney's International+ package is $399 one-time and covers the parent and its first subsidiary. A company on its $49.99/month Virtual Office+ plan can form one subsidiary for the state fee alone. Northwest files each LLC as its own order.
| Wyoming LLC Attorney | Northwest Registered Agent | |
|---|---|---|
| Anonymous holding company (private parent owns the operating LLC) | Productized: the parent is filed privately with Wyoming LLC Attorney as organizer | Not marketed as a structure. Its holding company guide says setting one up is "pretty much the same as starting any other LLC" |
| Formation for a parent plus one subsidiary | One International+ package ($399, paid once) covers the parent and its first subsidiary, which is ordered after the parent is formed. Includes a Certificate of Incumbency | Two separate formation orders at $39 each plus state fees |
| Operating agreement | Custom operating agreement included on Virtual Office+ | Created with each formation order |
| Adding more entities (one LLC per property) | A company on Virtual Office+ can form one subsidiary for the state fee alone; each company keeps its own plan | Each LLC is a separate order |
| Registered agent and compliance | $14.99/month Standard plan per company covers its registered agent, business address, and annual report filing | $125 a year per registered agent after the first year, plus $100 per annual report |
| Companies in other states | Sister brand LLC Attorney forms companies in all 50 states | Offices in all 50 states |
Prices and features checked October 19, 2026 on Wyoming LLC Attorney's pricing page, its order form, and Northwest's LLC page and registered agent page. State fees from the Wyoming Secretary of State, which adds a card processing fee of 2.4% of the filing fee (minimum $1) to online filings.
Most owners choose Wyoming for privacy, asset protection, low state fees, and simple upkeep. Compare services on these nine points:
Information on a Wyoming filing "will be public upon filing," according to the Wyoming Secretary of State. The Articles of Organization do not ask for members or managers, but an organizer signs them, so whoever files for you decides whose name goes on the record.
Wyoming LLC Attorney acts as the organizer on the Wyoming LLCs it forms, so its name goes on the filing instead of yours. In its words: "Only the organizer of the company, which is us, is known to the Secretary of State. Your name does not appear on the formation documents" (Form a Wyoming LLC). Anonymous and private filing is included in every package, starting with the $99 Starter, and its privacy page states: "Every WY LLC we file is private." Keeping your name off the state filing does not keep it from banks, the IRS, or a court that requires it.
Northwest is privacy-forward and says so: its pages carry the line "Privacy by Default" and state "we never sell your data" (Northwest, Privacy by Default). Its Wyoming LLC page has a section headed "Wyoming LLC organizer" that reads, "If you hire us, we'll do it!" So Northwest can sign and submit your Articles as the organizer. What it does not do is market an anonymous LLC as a structure: its guide says an "'Anonymous LLC' isn't its own business entity," and the pages we checked list no anonymous LLC product.
On the state filing itself the two are close, because both can act as organizer. Wyoming LLC Attorney is the choice if you want private filing in every package from the $99 Starter (Northwest's $39 formation also includes its "Privacy By Default") and an anonymous holding company built on it. Northwest is a reasonable choice if a privacy-minded registered agent is your main goal. As one customer put it:
“I would highly recommend anyone wishing to start up an anonymous LLC to go with Wyoming LLC Attorney.”
Many owners form in Wyoming for asset protection, often with a holding company: one parent LLC that owns other LLCs, frequently one per property, business, or asset (Wyoming LLC Attorney). Wyoming's charging-order protection is a core reason the structure is built there.
Wyoming LLC Attorney sets up Wyoming holding companies, including anonymous holding companies, where a private Wyoming holding LLC is the listed owner of your operating LLC. It guides you through the setup steps and provides resources built for it; it does not give legal advice, act as your law firm, or design a legal structure for you. Its International+ package ($399) includes one foreign entity filing or one subsidiary, and a company on its $49.99/month Virtual Office+ plan can form one subsidiary for the state fee alone. Each company keeps its own compliance plan. Trusts are not part of any plan; they are handled through a consultation. For companies in other states, its sister brand, LLC Attorney, forms companies in all 50 states.
Northwest's holding company guide says, "Setting up an LLC Holding Company is pretty much the same as starting any other LLC." Each subsidiary is registered separately, and the pages we checked list no parent-and-subsidiary package and no anonymous parent. Its trust page is an explainer, and the services menu we read lists no trust or estate planning service. Northwest's real advantage is reach: it says it has offices in all 50 states, so one company can file subsidiaries across many states.
Wyoming LLC Attorney is the choice if you are building a Wyoming holding company, protecting real estate or other assets, or running one LLC per property; LLC Attorney covers companies in other states. Northwest fits a structure spread across many states where you want one company for every filing. One customer wrote:
“I wanted to structure my LLC's to be managed by my holding company, and Sarah Curren was extremely helpful.”
Northwest costs less than Wyoming LLC Attorney on a three-year and a five-year view. Its $39 formation is a real low number, and it already includes the operating agreement and the first year of registered agent service. Every Wyoming entity needs a registered agent, and annual reports are due every year (Wyoming Secretary of State), so the real price is what you pay in year one and every year after.
One-time formation package prices for a single LLC, before the Wyoming state fee.
| Package level | Wyoming LLC Attorney | Northwest Registered Agent |
|---|---|---|
| Entry | Starter: $99 + state fee, paid once. Operating agreement and private filing included | $39 + state fees (Northwest). Includes the operating agreement, initial resolutions, a year of registered agent service, "Privacy By Default," error-free filing, and a "satisfaction guarantee" (terms not found) (order panel) |
| Higher tiers | Professional: $199 + state fee. International+: $399 + state fee. Both paid once | The pages checked show one formation price, $39 + state fees |
| Registered agent | In the $14.99/month Standard plan, with annual report filing and a physical business address | Included for year one, then $125 a year (Northwest) |
| Annual report filing | In the Standard plan | $100 per report, plus the state fee |
| EIN | In Professional ($199) and above | $50 with an SSN (Northwest) |
Prices shown before the $100 Wyoming filing fee. Sources: Wyoming LLC Attorney pricing; Northwest's Wyoming cost page and Wyoming annual report page, plus the pages linked above.
Assumptions: Wyoming LLC Attorney Starter ($99, one-time) plus the Standard compliance plan ($14.99/month). Northwest's $39 Wyoming formation, with the first year of registered agent service, then $125 a year for the agent and $100 per annual report. Online card fees are left out on both sides.
| Wyoming LLC Attorney | Northwest Registered Agent | |
|---|---|---|
| Formation package | $99 (Starter) | $39 |
| Operating agreement | Included | Included in formation |
| Filing speed | Submitted within 24 business hours or your payment is refunded | "Same Day Processing" advertised, listed among formation features |
| Wyoming filing fee | $100 | $100 |
| Registered agent, three years | $539.64 ($14.99/month Standard plan, which also covers annual report filing and a physical business address) | $250 (year one included in the $39, then $125 in each of years two and three) |
| Annual report filing, first two reports | Included in the Standard plan | $200 ($100 per report) |
| Wyoming annual report tax, first two reports | $120 | $120 |
| Name off the state filing | Included | Organizer filing offered; included in the $39 formation as "Privacy By Default" (order panel) |
| Total after three years | $858.64 | $709 |
| Total after five years | $1,338.40 | $1,279 |
Wyoming LLC Attorney's first year is $378.88 ($99 + $100 + $179.88); Northwest's is $139. After that, Wyoming LLC Attorney costs $239.88 a year ($179.88 plan + $60 Wyoming tax) and Northwest costs $285 ($125 + $100 + $60). The $45.12 yearly difference closes the early gap slowly:
| Running total | Year 1 | Year 2 | Year 3 | Year 4 | Year 5 | Year 6 | Year 7 |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Wyoming LLC Attorney | $378.88 | $618.76 | $858.64 | $1,098.52 | $1,338.40 | $1,578.28 | $1,818.16 |
| Northwest Registered Agent | $139 | $424 | $709 | $994 | $1,279 | $1,564 | $1,849 |
Northwest is lower through year six, and Wyoming LLC Attorney is lower from year seven. Wyoming's annual report license tax is $60 or two-tenths of a mill on the dollar of Wyoming assets, whichever is greater (Wyoming Secretary of State). Prices are current list rates as of October 19, 2026.
Assumptions: a parent plus one subsidiary. Wyoming LLC Attorney: the International+ package ($399, one-time, covering the parent and its first subsidiary), two $100 Wyoming filing fees, and a $14.99/month Standard plan for each company. Northwest: two separate orders, each priced as in the one-LLC table; Northwest's pages list no multi-company discount, so each LLC is priced as a separate order at list rates. The $60 license tax is counted for both companies on both sides. Northwest totals leave out EINs ($50 each with an SSN); International+ includes an EIN through its Professional-level features.
| Wyoming LLC Attorney | Northwest Registered Agent | |
|---|---|---|
| Parent LLC, filed privately | Included in the structure it sets up | Organizer filing offered ("Privacy By Default" is in its $39 formation); not marketed as an anonymous structure |
| One subsidiary | Included in International+ ($399, one-time); ordered after the parent is formed | Separate order: $39 + state fee |
| One more subsidiary | A company on Virtual Office+ ($49.99/month) can form one subsidiary for the state fee alone | Separate order per entity |
| Operating agreement | Custom operating agreement included on Virtual Office+ | Created with each formation order |
| Registered agent, address, and annual report filing, per company | $14.99/month Standard plan per company ($179.88 a year) | $125 a year per registered agent from year two, plus $100 per annual report |
| Wyoming state filing fee | $100 per entity | $100 per entity |
| Two companies, total after three years | $1,918.28 | $1,418 (2 x $709) |
| Two companies, total after five years | $2,877.80 | $2,558 (2 x $1,279) |
Northwest is lower for two companies for the same reason it is lower for one. What differs is what the money buys: an anonymous parent and a first subsidiary in one package, against two separate standard LLC orders.
If total cost over three to five years decides it, Northwest is lower: $709 against $858.64 over three years, and $1,279 against $1,338.40 over five, for one LLC. Wyoming LLC Attorney is the choice if you will keep the company longer than six years, or if you want annual meeting minutes, and the registered agent, address, and annual report filing in one monthly plan, with private filing in the package price.
“Amazing phone support and assistance during and after sign up. Very organized web portal and interface. Good all the way around. And best of all not pushy, just informative.”
The IRS says to "form your entity through the secretary of state before you apply for an EIN" (IRS). In Wyoming, a company filed online "is active as soon as the online filing process is completed" (Wyoming Secretary of State), so any wait comes from the filing service's own queue.
Wyoming LLC Attorney's website carries a guarantee: "Your filing will be submitted within 24 business hours or we'll refund your payment." Its online filing forms "take 10 minutes to complete." For a company within the hour, its separate instant formation option ($249 flat plus the state fee) files a Wyoming LLC in 60 minutes during business hours, or the $249 fee is refunded.
Northwest lists "Same Day Processing" among the features of its formation service, and its Wyoming guide says an online filing "will be processed immediately," which describes the state's online system. Its Wyoming order panel lists a "satisfaction guarantee" with the $39 formation; we did not find its terms or a business-hour promise on the pages checked.
On advertised speed, Northwest is at least as quick as a 24-business-hour submission. Wyoming LLC Attorney is the choice if you want the timing in writing, with a refund when it is missed.
Every Wyoming business entity needs a registered agent to accept service of process (Wyoming Secretary of State), and "the registered agent must have a physical address in Wyoming" (Articles of Organization). That address is not automatically one you can use for your website, bank account, or mail.
Wyoming LLC Attorney's $14.99/month Standard plan bundles your registered agent, a physical business address, annual report filing, annual meeting minutes, and five free mail scans a year in one plan. Its registered agent office is at 1309 Coffeen Ave in Sheridan, Wyoming, and every client gets a portal for documents and filings. The $49.99/month Virtual Office+ plan adds a unique Wyoming business address, a lease, phone forwarding, and unlimited mail scans.
The registered agent is Northwest's signature product, and it is a strong one. The service costs $125 a year, with the first year included in the $39 Wyoming formation, and Northwest says it has not raised the price "in 20 years" (Northwest). It scans up to five documents a year at no charge, accepts all state and legal mail, and charges $100 a year per state at five or more states. Northwest says clients can list its address for everything on a filing (Wyoming registered agent page). A unique suite for general mail is separate: Wyoming mail forwarding starts at $20 a month.
Northwest is the choice if a stand-alone registered agent at a flat annual price is what you want, in Wyoming or in every state you operate in. Wyoming LLC Attorney is the choice if you want the agent, a physical business address, annual meeting minutes, and annual report filing in one monthly plan from a company that works on Wyoming entities. It holds 4.5 stars from more than 900 reviews on Trustpilot (checked October 19, 2026).
Wyoming annual reports "are due every year on the first day of the month in which the company was filed" (Wyoming Secretary of State), with a license tax of at least $60. An LLC that falls behind can be dissolved by the state, which puts the liability protection you formed it for at risk.
Wyoming LLC Attorney files your annual report as part of every compliance plan, starting with the $14.99/month Standard plan. You pay the state's license tax, which starts at $60. The plan also prepares annual meeting minutes, so your company records stay in order.
Northwest files Wyoming annual reports for $100 plus the state fee, which it puts at $160 in total for most Wyoming businesses (Northwest). Its page says the renewal service is added automatically when you hire it for registered agent service or to form a Wyoming LLC, and that you can cancel at any time.
Both services file the report for you. Northwest charges per report, and Wyoming LLC Attorney includes it in the monthly plan. Wyoming LLC Attorney is the choice if you want annual report filing and annual meeting minutes without a separate per-report charge.
Forming on your own means checking name availability, completing the Articles of Organization, getting your registered agent's consent, and tracking your annual report date (Wyoming Secretary of State). A good service takes those steps off your plate and has a person ready for questions.
Wyoming LLC Attorney's online filing forms "take 10 minutes to complete," and its advisors answer the phone at +1-307-683-0983. For a holding company, the advisors guide you through the setup, including moving existing LLCs under the parent; they do not give legal advice, act as your law firm, or design a legal structure for you. After formation, a client portal keeps your documents and filings in one place, and the team mails your change of registered agent form the same day.
Support is a strength at Northwest, and it describes it that way: its formation page says, "Call us and we'll pick up. If we don't, we'll get back to you in a few hours, tops," and its "Corporate Guides" are, in Northwest's term, its in-house support staff. Those are Northwest's own descriptions of its service. Its formation order also includes your initial resolutions and the operating agreement (Northwest).
Both services put a person on the phone, so neither wins on having support. Wyoming LLC Attorney is the choice if you want a 10-minute form and advisors who work on Wyoming entities, including holding company setups.
“It was such a pleasure working with Victor on the phone today setting up my LLC.”
Wyoming's Articles of Organization ask for no owner information, so you can form from outside the US. The EIN is harder: the IRS online application requires the responsible party's SSN or ITIN, and applicants whose principal place of business is outside the US "apply by phone, fax or mail" (IRS). A US business bank account is usually the next step.
Wyoming LLC Attorney's International+ package ($399, paid once) includes a foreign EIN, an apostille, a Certificate of Incumbency, and one subsidiary or foreign entity filing. For banking, "You do not have to travel to the USA or have a SSN," Wyoming LLC Attorney says, and when it forms your LLC it prepares and submits your business bank application to its partner bank. The bank makes the final decision, and partner banks cannot accept owners from some countries. The IRS, not the filing service, sets how long an EIN takes for applicants without an SSN.
Northwest files EINs for applicants without an SSN. Its EIN page lists the foreign EIN service at $200, against $50 with an SSN. We found no bank application support on the pages we checked.
If an EIN is all you need, Northwest's $200 service costs less than the $399 International+ package. Wyoming LLC Attorney is the choice if you want the foreign EIN, apostille, Certificate of Incumbency, a first subsidiary, and a submitted bank application in one package.
“For someone outside of the USA this was insanely easy, extremely well done and great information online, via email and via phone.”
You do not need a lawyer to file a Wyoming LLC; the Wyoming Secretary of State accepts filings online. Questions about taxes, adding owners, or asset protection can still come up after you form, and not every formation service offers a route to a lawyer.
Every Wyoming LLC Attorney package includes access to book a consultation, starting with the $99 Starter. You can book a consultation with a licensed business attorney, including attorneys admitted to practice in Wyoming. Consultations are with the attorneys' own law firms, which are not affiliated with Wyoming LLC Attorney, and the attorneys set their own fees. Any terms for a consultation are between you and the attorney's firm. Wyoming LLC Attorney is not a law firm and does not give legal advice.
Northwest's terms say, "we are not a law firm or an attorney and do not provide legal advice." It does sell attorney access in two places. Law on Call costs $9 a month and is open to clients in Utah and Arizona. Its trademark service is attorney-led and costs $599 in total. Neither covers a Wyoming formation.
Wyoming LLC Attorney is the choice if you want to be able to book a consultation with an independent licensed business attorney, at the attorney's own law firm, while working with the company that formed your LLC. Northwest's Law on Call is a real subscription, but it is open to Utah and Arizona clients only.
Here is who wins on each point. Northwest wins on total cost through year six and on the stand-alone registered agent. Wyoming LLC Attorney wins on the holding company path, the monthly plan bundle, and a route to an independent attorney.
| If this matters most to you | Choose | Why |

Northwest is the lower-cost service on a three- and five-year view, with a registered agent built to be the main event. Wyoming LLC Attorney fits owners who want an anonymous holding company, one monthly plan for upkeep, and a route to an independent attorney. Both can file your Wyoming LLC privately.
Wyoming LLC Attorney's Starter package is $99 plus the $100 Wyoming filing fee, paid once, and includes the operating agreement and private filing. The registered agent, a physical business address, and annual report filing come in the $14.99/month Standard plan, so year one totals $378.88 and each later year is about $240 including Wyoming's $60 minimum annual license tax.
Northwest costs less over three and five years: $709 and $1,279 for one Wyoming LLC with an operating agreement, registered agent, and annual report filing, against $858.64 and $1,338.40 at Wyoming LLC Attorney. Wyoming LLC Attorney costs $45.12 less each year from year two, and the totals cross between years six and seven.
Northwest can form each LLC in a holding company as separate orders. Its guide says setting one up is "pretty much the same as starting any other LLC," and the pages we checked list no parent-and-subsidiary package or anonymous parent. Wyoming LLC Attorney files anonymous Wyoming holding companies and guides you through the setup steps; it does not give legal advice. Its sister brand LLC Attorney forms companies in other states.
Both can. Wyoming LLC Attorney acts as the organizer on the Wyoming LLCs it forms, so your name does not appear on the formation documents, and private filing is included in every package. Northwest says it acts as organizer when you hire it to file, and its $39 formation includes "Privacy By Default." Northwest does not market an anonymous LLC as a structure.
Yes. Every Wyoming LLC Attorney package includes access to book a consultation with a licensed business attorney. Any terms for a consultation are between you and the attorney's firm. The attorneys work at their own law firms, which are not affiliated with Wyoming LLC Attorney. Wyoming LLC Attorney itself is not a law firm and does not give legal advice.
Yes. Wyoming's Articles of Organization ask for no owner information. Without an SSN or ITIN you cannot use the IRS online EIN application, and applicants based outside the US apply by phone, fax, or mail. Wyoming LLC Attorney's International+ package includes a foreign EIN and a bank application to its partner bank, which makes the final decision. Northwest sells a foreign EIN service for $200.
Wyoming LLC Attorney guarantees your filing is submitted within 24 business hours or your payment is refunded, and Wyoming makes an online filing active as soon as the online filing process is completed. Northwest advertises same-day processing. Wyoming LLC Attorney's instant formation option ($249 flat plus the state fee) files in 60 minutes during business hours, or the $249 fee is refunded.
Disclosure: Wyoming LLC Attorney publishes this comparison. Prices were checked on each company's website in October 2026 and are subject to change. Wyoming LLC Attorney is not a law firm, does not give legal advice, and is not affiliated with any government or state agency.
