Wyoming LLC Attorney vs BizFilings (a Wolters Kluwer Company): Which Fits a Wyoming LLC? (2026)

By Andrew Pierce, CEO of Wyoming LLC Attorney · Updated November 2026

Disclosure: Wyoming LLC Attorney publishes this comparison. Prices were checked on each company's website in November 2026 and are subject to change. Wyoming LLC Attorney is not a law firm, does not give legal advice, and is not affiliated with any government or state agency.

Wyoming LLC Attorney fits owners who want a private Wyoming filing, an anonymous holding company, and one monthly plan covering the registered agent, business address, and annual report. BizFilings, a Wolters Kluwer company, fits owners who want a long-established corporate brand ("Trusted by over 500,000 businesses"), plain package pricing, and no monthly plan. The packages are priced alike at the start, $99 and $199 on both sides, and BizFilings has no monthly plan to pay at checkout. Over three and five years, Wyoming LLC Attorney costs less: for one Wyoming LLC with an EIN, $958.64 over three years against up to $1,339 at BizFilings, and $1,438.40 over five against up to $2,149.

This guide compares the two on privacy, asset protection, holding companies, cost, filing speed, your registered agent and address, annual reports, setup, forming from outside the US, and attorney access. It covers BizFilings, the small-business formation product, and not CT Corporation, Wolters Kluwer's separate enterprise business. Prices come from each company's own pages and the Wyoming Secretary of State, checked on November 4, 2026.

*Wyoming LLC Attorney's totals cover an operating agreement, filing, an EIN, a registered agent, annual report filing, and Wyoming state fees; the breakdown is in the cost section below.

**BizFilings's pages do not say how the first $230 registered agent invoice is counted against its three free months, so the totals count one invoice for every year, the most its registered agent terms allow. BizFilings's plan page does not show a Wyoming state fee line, so these figures use the $100 on its Wyoming guide; a higher line in its cart would raise them. We did not price an operating agreement for BizFilings. Attorney consultations are with independent attorneys at their own law firms, not affiliated with Wyoming LLC Attorney, which is not a law firm and does not give legal advice.

At a glance for a Wyoming holding company

A holding company is one parent LLC that owns other LLCs, often one per property or business. Wyoming LLC Attorney's International+ package is $399 one-time and covers the parent and its first subsidiary. A company on its $49.99/month Virtual Office+ plan can form one subsidiary for the state fee alone. We found no multi-company package on the BizFilings pages we checked.

What matters most when you form a business entity in Wyoming

Most owners choose Wyoming for privacy, asset protection, low state fees, and simple upkeep. Compare services on these nine points:

    1. Keeping your name off the state filing
    2. Protecting your assets, and growing into a holding company
    3. What your Wyoming entity really costs over three and five years, not only on day one
    4. How fast your filing is submitted
    5. Your registered agent and business address
    6. Filing your annual report every year
    7. How easy setup is, and who helps you
    8. Forming from outside the US without an SSN
    9. Access to a licensed business attorney

Keeping your name off the Wyoming filing

Information on a Wyoming filing "will be public upon filing," according to the Wyoming Secretary of State. The Articles of Organization do not ask for members or managers, but an organizer signs them, so whoever files for you decides whose name goes on the record.

How Wyoming LLC Attorney keeps your name private

Wyoming LLC Attorney acts as the organizer on the Wyoming LLCs it forms, so its name goes on the filing instead of yours. In its words: "Only the organizer of the company, which is us, is known to the Secretary of State. Your name does not appear on the formation documents" (Form a Wyoming LLC). Anonymous and private filing is included in every package, starting with the $99 Starter (plus the required monthly plan), and its privacy page states: "Every WY LLC we file is private." Keeping your name off the state filing does not keep it from banks, the IRS, or a court that requires it.

    How BizFilings handles privacy

BizFilings's Wyoming guide explains that Wyoming allows anonymous LLCs, "where the registered agent's name and address can appear in public filings." Its checkout FAQ mentions "services that can help keep certain business-related information separate from your personal address." We found no BizFilings anonymous-filing product on the pages we checked, and they do not say whose name goes on the Articles when BizFilings files.

    Which to choose for privacy

Wyoming LLC Attorney is the choice if you want your name off the Wyoming filing itself, with private filing in every package from the $99 Starter (plus the required monthly plan) and an anonymous holding company built on it. BizFilings is a reasonable choice if privacy is not your reason for forming in Wyoming. As one customer put it: "I would highly recommend anyone wishing to start up an anonymous LLC to go with Wyoming LLC Attorney." (Wayde Stallard, Trustpilot, November 1, 2024)

Protecting your assets, and growing into a holding company

Many owners form in Wyoming for asset protection, often with a holding company: one parent LLC that owns other LLCs, frequently one per property, business, or asset (Wyoming LLC Attorney). Wyoming's charging-order protection is a core reason the structure is built there.

How Wyoming LLC Attorney handles asset protection and holding companies

Wyoming LLC Attorney sets up Wyoming holding companies, including anonymous holding companies, where a private Wyoming holding LLC is the listed owner of your operating LLC. It guides you through the setup steps and provides resources built for it; it does not give legal advice, act as your law firm, or design a legal structure for you. Its International+ package ($399, plus the required monthly plan) includes one foreign entity filing or one subsidiary, with the subsidiary's first month of plan free and its own plan after that, and a company on its $49.99/month Virtual Office+ plan can form one subsidiary for the state fee alone. Each company keeps its own compliance plan. Trusts are not part of any plan; a trust consultation is booked separately. For companies in other states, its sister brand, LLC Attorney, forms companies in all 50 states.

How BizFilings handles holding companies and asset protection

Its incorporation options page lists LLCs, S and C corporations, nonprofits, limited partnerships, LLPs, PC/PLLCs, and DBAs, and we found no holding company or parent-and-subsidiary product on the pages we checked. We found no trust or estate planning product either. Its range of entity types is wider than Wyoming LLC Attorney's, and it can foreign-qualify an entity in another state for $249 plus state fees.

Which to choose for asset protection and holding companies

Wyoming LLC Attorney is the choice if you are building a Wyoming holding company, protecting real estate or other assets, or running one LLC per property; LLC Attorney covers companies in other states. BizFilings fits an owner who wants a single entity of almost any type from one established brand. One customer wrote: "I wanted to structure my LLC's to be managed by my holding company, and Sarah Curren was extremely helpful." (Rosalio Altamirano, Trustpilot, November 14, 2024)

What a Wyoming business entity really costs with each service

On package prices the two start in the same place. Wyoming LLC Attorney's Starter is $99 and BizFilings's Basic is $99; the $199 Professional and Core packages each add an EIN. BizFilings has no monthly plan, so its checkout total is lower by Wyoming LLC Attorney's first month. The difference comes afterward. Every Wyoming entity needs a registered agent, and annual reports are due every year (Wyoming Secretary of State), so the real price is what you pay in year one and every year after.

Wyoming LLC Attorney vs BizFilings pricing by package

One-time formation package prices for a single LLC, before the Wyoming state fee. A monthly plan is required with each Wyoming LLC Attorney order.

    What these prices actually mean

    • Wyoming LLC Attorney's $99 Starter buys an operating agreement, Articles of Organization prepared and filed, anonymous and private filing with Wyoming LLC Attorney as organizer, organizational minutes, a resolution to open a bank account, bank application support, and access to book a consultation with an independent attorney.
    • Every year after, Wyoming LLC Attorney's $14.99/month Standard plan covers the registered agent, annual report filing, and a physical business address for $179.88 a year. At BizFilings the registered agent is $230 a year and annual report filing is $115 per filing, before state fees.
    • BizFilings's comparison page lists "No auto-renewals"; its checkout says it will "send you an invoice to continue the service for the next year at $230 annually."

Three-year and five-year cost for one Wyoming LLC, with an EIN

Assumptions: Wyoming LLC Attorney Professional ($199, one-time) plus the Standard plan ($14.99/month). BizFilings Core ($199), the $100 Wyoming filing fee, a $230 registered agent invoice for every year, which is the most its registered agent terms allow, and annual report filing at $115 plus the $60 Wyoming minimum license tax. Both sides count annual reports for the years after the first. Online card fees are left out on both sides, and we did not price an operating agreement for BizFilings, which Wyoming LLC Attorney's Professional package includes.

    Wyoming LLC AttorneyBizFilings (Wolters Kluwer)
    Formation package$199 (Professional)$199 (Core)
    Wyoming filing fee$100$100
Registered agent, three years$539.64 ($14.99/month Standard plan, which also covers annual report filing and a physical business address)Up to $690 (3 months free, then $230 a year, three invoices)
Annual report filing, first two reportsIncluded in the Standard plan$230 ($115 per filing)
Wyoming annual report tax, first two reports$120$120
Total after three years$958.64Up to $1,339
Total after five years$1,438.40Up to $2,149

For five years the BizFilings column is $199 + $100 + $1,150 (five registered agent invoices) + $700 (four annual report filings at $115 plus $60 tax). The pages do not say whether the three free months count against the first year. If they do, one invoice drops out and the totals fall by $230, to $1,109 and $1,919, which are still above Wyoming LLC Attorney's. On that reading BizFilings is also lower for the first two years ($704 against $718.76). Wyoming LLC Attorney costs $239.88 a year after the first ($179.88 plan + $60 Wyoming tax); BizFilings's recurring cost is up to $405 a year ($230 + $115 + $60). Wyoming's annual report license tax is $60 or two-tenths of a mill on the dollar of Wyoming assets, whichever is greater (Wyoming Secretary of State). Prices are current list rates as of November 4, 2026.

    Entry packages, without an EIN

Wyoming LLC Attorney's Starter ($99) and BizFilings's Basic ($99) include no EIN. On the same assumptions:

Wyoming LLC Attorney (Starter + Standard plan)BizFilings (Wolters Kluwer) (Basic)
Total after three years$858.64Up to $1,239
Total after five years$1,338.40Up to $2,049

Basic costs $100 less than Core, so its ceilings are $100 below the table above.

What a holding company costs, as each service prices it

Assumptions: a parent plus one subsidiary. Wyoming LLC Attorney: the International+ package ($399, one-time, covering the parent and its first subsidiary), two $100 Wyoming filing fees, and a $14.99/month Standard plan for each company, less the subsidiary's free first month ($14.99). BizFilings: two separate Core orders, each priced as in the one-LLC table above and counted at the most its registered agent terms allow; the plan page we read shows per-order prices. The $60 license tax is counted for both companies on both sides. EINs are included for each BizFilings order and for the International+ parent.

    Two companies, total after five years$2,862.81Up to $4,298 (2 x $2,149)

What differs is what the money buys: an anonymous parent and a first subsidiary in one package, against two separate standard LLC orders.

    Which to choose for cost

Wyoming LLC Attorney costs less over three and five years for one Wyoming LLC, and the gap grows with the registered agent and annual report charges. BizFilings wins on checkout simplicity: no monthly plan, and no registered agent charge for the first three months. Wyoming LLC Attorney is the choice if you will keep the company three years or more, or if you want annual meeting minutes, and the registered agent, address, and annual report filing in one monthly plan, with private filing in the package price. "Amazing phone support and assistance during and after sign up. Very organized web portal and interface. Good all the way around. And best of all not pushy, just informative." (Trustpilot review, July 20, 2026)

How fast your Wyoming filing is submitted

The IRS says to "form your entity through the secretary of state before you apply for an EIN" (IRS). In Wyoming, a company filed online "is active as soon as the online filing process is completed" (Wyoming Secretary of State).

How Wyoming LLC Attorney files your LLC fast

Wyoming LLC Attorney's website carries a guarantee: "Your filing will be submitted within 24 business hours or we'll refund your payment." The guarantee applies to every package. Its online filing forms "take 10 minutes to complete." For a company within the hour, its separate instant formation option ($249 flat plus the state fee) files a Wyoming LLC in 60 minutes during business hours, or the $249 fee is refunded.

    How BizFilings handles filing speed

BizFilings ties speed to the package: "Submitted in" 7-10 business days on Basic, 3-4 on Core, and 1 business day on All-Inclusive, which costs $399. It says "submitted," not filed, and the plan page adds state fulfillment time. Its comparison page lists a "Warranty for filing defects" (terms not found); we did not find a refund promise tied to those times.

    Which to choose for speed

Wyoming LLC Attorney is the choice if you want a submission time in writing on the $99 package (plus the required monthly plan), with a refund when it is missed. BizFilings's 1 business day on All-Inclusive is a real option if you will pay $399 for it, and Wyoming LLC Attorney's instant formation option files in 60 minutes during business hours for $249 plus the state fee. Both companies measure the time to submission, not to a filed company.

Your registered agent and business address

Every Wyoming business entity needs a registered agent to accept service of process (Wyoming Secretary of State), and "the registered agent must have a physical address in Wyoming" (Articles of Organization). That address is not automatically one you can use for your website, bank account, or mail.

How Wyoming LLC Attorney covers your agent and address

Wyoming LLC Attorney's $14.99/month Standard plan bundles your registered agent, a physical business address, annual report filing, annual meeting minutes, and five free mail scans a year in one plan. Its registered agent office is at 1309 Coffeen Ave in Sheridan, Wyoming, and every client gets a portal for documents and filings. The $49.99/month Virtual Office+ plan adds a unique Wyoming business address, a lease, phone forwarding, and unlimited mail scans.

How BizFilings handles your agent and address

BizFilings's registered agent service is "Free for 3 months when ordering our incorporation," then $230 for one year. It includes annual report filing alerts and a compliance tracking tool, BizComply. It says it has "a staff of attorneys that constantly monitor corporate registration requirements," which describes how it tracks state rules, not advice to clients. The pages we checked list no business address product for a Wyoming LLC.

Which to choose for your agent and address

BizFilings is the choice if you want a registered agent from a large, established company with no charge for the first three months and, by its own description, no auto-renewals. Wyoming LLC Attorney is the choice if you want the agent, a physical business address, annual meeting minutes, and annual report filing in one monthly plan from a company that works on Wyoming entities. It holds 4.5 on Trustpilot, more than 900 reviews (checked November 4, 2026).

Staying in good standing every year

Wyoming annual reports "are due every year on the first day of the month in which the company was filed" (Wyoming Secretary of State), with a license tax of at least $60. An LLC that falls behind can be dissolved by the state, which puts the liability protection you formed it for at risk.

How Wyoming LLC Attorney handles annual reports

Wyoming LLC Attorney files your annual report as part of every compliance plan, starting with the $14.99/month Standard plan. You pay the state's license tax, which starts at $60. The plan also prepares annual meeting minutes, so your company records stay in order.

    How BizFilings handles annual reports

BizFilings's annual report service is "$115 plus state fees" for a one-time filing. It also offers a managed annual report service for which the pages we read show no price and ask you to "Get a Quote."

Which to choose for ongoing compliance

Both services can file the report for you. BizFilings charges per filing, and Wyoming LLC Attorney includes it in the monthly plan. BizFilings's managed service is worth a look if you hold many entities and want volume pricing. Wyoming LLC Attorney is the choice if you want annual report filing and annual meeting minutes without a separate per-filing charge.

Setting up your Wyoming entity and who helps you

Forming on your own means checking name availability, completing the Articles of Organization, getting your registered agent's consent, and tracking your annual report date (Wyoming Secretary of State). A good service takes those steps off your plate and has a person ready for questions.

How Wyoming LLC Attorney makes setup easy

Wyoming LLC Attorney's online filing forms "take 10 minutes to complete," and its advisors answer the phone at +1-307-683-0983. For a holding company, the advisors guide you through the setup, including moving existing LLCs under the parent; they do not give legal advice, act as your law firm, or design a legal structure for you. After formation, a client portal keeps your documents and filings in one place.

    How BizFilings handles setup

BizFilings is part of Wolters Kluwer, a large corporate group, and orders run through an online checkout where you choose your state and entity type and then a plan. Its checkout page offers "Free, unlimited 1:1 access to live, U.S.-based advisors," according to BizFilings. That is a real support benefit. We could not find a verified BizFilings review profile to quote, so this page quotes no BizFilings review score.

Which to choose for an easy setup

BizFilings's checkout and its advisor line suit a straightforward filing from an established brand. Wyoming LLC Attorney is the choice if you want advisors who work on Wyoming entities, including holding company setups. "It was such a pleasure working with Victor on the phone today setting up my LLC." (Michele, Trustpilot, June 17, 2026)

Forming a Wyoming LLC from outside the US

Wyoming's Articles of Organization ask for no owner information, so you can form from outside the US. The EIN is harder: the IRS online application requires the responsible party's SSN or ITIN, and applicants whose principal place of business is outside the US "apply by phone, fax or mail" (IRS). A US business bank account is usually the next step.

How Wyoming LLC Attorney helps non-US owners

Wyoming LLC Attorney's International+ package ($399 once, plus the required monthly plan) includes a foreign EIN, an apostille, a Certificate of Incumbency, and one subsidiary or foreign entity filing. For banking, "You do not have to travel to the USA or have a SSN," Wyoming LLC Attorney says, and when it forms your LLC it prepares and submits your business bank application to its partner bank. The bank makes the final decision, and partner banks cannot accept owners from some countries. The IRS, not the filing service, sets how long an EIN takes for applicants without an SSN.

How BizFilings handles owners outside the US

BizFilings's EIN page asks for "Your Social Security Number (SSN) or Individual Tax Identification Number (ITIN)" and "A physical U.S. address." We found no foreign EIN service and no non-resident bank service on the pages we checked.

Which to choose for forming from outside the US

Wyoming LLC Attorney is the choice if you want the foreign EIN, apostille, Certificate of Incumbency, a first subsidiary, and a submitted bank application in one package. BizFilings's EIN page lists requirements an owner without an SSN or ITIN would need to confirm with BizFilings. "For someone outside of the USA this was insanely easy, extremely well done and great information online, via email and via phone." (Perr, Trustpilot, February 25, 2026)

Getting answers from a business attorney

You do not need a lawyer to file a Wyoming LLC; the Wyoming Secretary of State accepts filings online. Questions about taxes, adding owners, or asset protection can still come up after you form.

How Wyoming LLC Attorney connects you with attorneys

Every Wyoming LLC Attorney package includes access to book a consultation, starting with the $99 Starter (plus the required monthly plan). You can book a consultation with a licensed business attorney, including attorneys admitted to practice in Wyoming. Consultations are with the attorneys' own law firms, which are not affiliated with Wyoming LLC Attorney, and the attorneys set their own fees. Any terms for a consultation are between you and the attorney's firm. Wyoming LLC Attorney is not a law firm and does not give legal advice.

    How BizFilings handles legal questions

BizFilings points customers to advisors rather than attorneys. Its checkout offers free access to live advisors, and its incorporation options page says, "You may want to consult with an attorney or accountant." We found no attorney consultation product and no trust or estate planning product on the pages we checked.

Which to choose for attorney access

Wyoming LLC Attorney is the choice if you want to be able to book a consultation with an independent licensed business attorney, at the attorney's own law firm and fee, while working with the company that formed your LLC. BizFilings's free advisor line is a useful first stop for process questions.

Wyoming LLC Attorney or BizFilings: which should you choose?

Here is who wins on each point. BizFilings wins on checkout simplicity, no monthly plan, and the range of entity types from one established brand. Wyoming LLC Attorney wins on cost over three and five years, the holding company path, the monthly plan bundle, and a route to an independent attorney.
